Congrats.
Coming back from the water disposal this evening up near Fontenelle, north west of Green River, I saw a pickup with what looked like a cow elk in the back. He should have tied a red flag on the hoof hanging over the side of the bed a couple feet. Would have made for a good picture LOL.

Well, since I don't cast, looks like I need to buy two different bullets. It'll be hard to find cast bullets with a .432 diameter. I love the gun. I use Trail Boss in it also. Weird, both of mine feed commercial 240gr lswc just fine. Plus they both feed the Ranch dog 270gr rnfp really well.
I use the standard rcbs 3 die carbide set to load them.

"Lights Out" was a very good read, I still have it in PDF format. And "One Second After" is another good read but more depressing. "Deep Winter" and "Shattered" were also good online reads.

Looks to be Bouquet Res. I grew up in San Bernardino at the base of Cajon Pass in 70s-80s, never hunted anything other than Jack Rabbits though. Spent a lot of time in the Angeles, San Jacinto, and San Bernardino mountains.

Almost looks like they stained the bare wood after it was mounted to the rifle. I love my little .44Mag 16" Rossi/Puma carbine. Very handy light weight gun, perfect for brush/woods, and carrying in the Jeep.

I have three mags (2x 6rnd, 1x7rnd) that I keep loaded 24/7/365 and have not had any problems. I have a few 8 rounders, but don't keep them loaded, they are more or less range mags.
