Re: 9422 Prices
I just found this one for sale on a local board. He's even in my town, but do you think he's going to be getting a call from me, inquiring about the sale of his rifle? Not a chance. On a nicer note, a friend of mine found a 9422M on a bulletin board in a grocery store earlier this fall for $150.00. ...

Re: Shelves are bare everywhere !
There's a store here in town that specializes in the EBRs, and according to a guy I talked to who went in to buy some ammo, the line at the counter went all the way to the front door, and every semi auto in the place had been sold except for two. He'd never seen it that busy before.

Re: broken barrel band on MOD. 1894 in .44 magnum
The band that broke is the one at the muzzle. It's still on the gun, it just doesn't hold the mag tube and barrel together properly anymore. The rifle has the saddle ring on the receiver too, and that is a factory bit. Mr. Brophy's son lives here in Fairbanks and he had extra gold plated saddle ring...

broken barrel band on MOD. 1894 in .44 magnum
The barrel band on my Marlin MOD. 1894 in .44 magnum broke when I was shooting the rifle. The band looked a little boogered up when I bought the gun, but I didn't think it would break. Do any of you guys have a spare barrel band for sale that would fit an older (1971 manufacture) gun? It has a 16&qu...

Re: Marlin 1894 .44mag 16" barrel
I think it would make a very handy hiking, hunting, plinking and self defense gun. You'd have an 8 or 9 shot capacity. With a sling it would be much handier than a 20" 1894, and should be easier to shoot accurately than any revolver. If you have a chance to buy one, I'd say do it.

I'm mad just reading about your rifle and looking at the pictures, Joe. It's a shame that someone could mess up your rifle the way these ham handed buffoons did. On a lighter note, if I were you, I wouldn't let them handload any ammo for you to shoot in your rifle.

According to knowledgeable sources, there is no way to render an unpopped primer inert. That is, there isn't a solvent or oil that you can treat them with that will ruin them. When whatever is is dries off the primer, the primer will be ready to go again. I finally used some old primers my bro in la...
