Ballpark price on a Winchester Legacy in .22 magnum

Post by AkRay »

What is the ballpark price on a Winchester Legacy in .22 magnum? These are the rifles with the pistol grip stock, aren't they? I have a chance at one ANIB for $500.00. If I were to get it, it would be headed for the woods with a box or two of ammo in pursuit of hares and grouse or other suitable targets. I never should've sold my 9422M.

$500 looks good compared to those listed here (same guns in .22LR and .17HMR): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp

The 9422 Legacy models had checkered PG stocks with a rubber buttpad, and a 2/3 length magazine.
The wood is either of a different grade than the older 9422's or sawn differently - as it has almost a laminated look to the grain, but acceptable.

Do the Legacy 9422Ms have the crossbolt safety, or were they made before these became popular?

I realized my error as soon as I hit the "submit" button. Popular? That's a very poor word choice.

No these did not have the cross bolt or tang safety.
