Re: Beretta Storm Carbine
Had a 40 cal carbine at one time. Shot well, just wasn't fond of the mag issue. Have a HiPoint 45 carbine now. Its heavy and trigger pull is also heavy, but it digests about anything I have tried to feed it, even full wadcutters. You can modify 45acp mags to fit, but you can't then use them in your ...

Calipers can get you real close, but can be off a few thousandths. Do you have a micrometer? If so, check the diameter with it and see if it isn't different.

Re: USAA runaround on my hunting vehicle
Thought about switching to USAA. Was in the body shop getting my pickup fixed from someone doing a hit/run on me and told the guy (been doing any body work I need for the last 20 years, he is good at it) that I might switch. He flat out told me that he would not be doing body work on my vehicles if ...

I am not too sure even about dealers. I quit taking my vehicles in to have the oil changed as it seems like they put on the drain plug and filter "gorilla tight" every time, even when I tell them to tell the guy not to do that, use a torque wrench. They must use an impact wrench instead. H...

Not really, but I would think the 110gr vmax or the 125gr speer tnt would work well. Another possiblity might be 100gr bullets for the 32-20, but don't know about feeding and the extra .003" bullet diameter might raise pressures to quickly. Same with bullets designed for the 32mag. I suspect al...

I have been shooting either Nosler 125gr BT or Speer TNT (bulk boxes) out of my 300blk. If the wind isn't blowing, I can hit a 7"x7" plate @500 yds easily, but at our range, seldom is there not any wind!! No chambering problems with standard dies.

B-92's worth?
Have a pair of Browning B-92's, one in 357mag and the other a 44 mag, that I am thinking of sending down the road to another home. Wondering what they might be worth? The 357 has had some rust on the buttplate that I cleaned up with steel wool and some dings on the buttstock. From the action forward...

How about a 760 in 458 Socom(308 rim size)? Be like having a pump action 45-70.
Or possibly 50 Beowulf (7.62 x 39 rim size) for a real thumper. This would probably be easier to do than the 500 S&W.

I use Owens hot sausage. Brown it, take it from the pan, leaving the oil/crumbles. Put in the flour and brown a bit, add milk and stir. I then crumble up some of the sausage and put it back in the thickening gravy. Add salt/pepper and a dash of ground hot pepper. Let thicken.
