Its only a 2" gun when you can do it on command. :D For real, I have shot many 1" "fluke groups", with the next group running 3".

Yea Pops, that ole '86 does the job nicely. By looking at the barrel contour, I'd say that rifle was made between 1900 and 1908.

A 34 is very impressive, especially in the smallbore/pistol caliber discipline. Like you said, the chickens are a "gimme" in big bore but not so in the other two. The closest to "gimmes" in smallbore/pistol are the pigs, and even then I manage to miss #10 most always....I get exc...

Anything that works in the 38-55 will work in the .375. Just size the cast to .377. My load was 22 of 5744 for around 1500. IIRC, 27 gr. of RL-7 is good for 1700+

Like the 38-55, I use blown out 30-30 brass. Just seat the bullets to correct OAL>-------------6

Like rifle scopes, you get what you pay for in spotting scopes. With a $200 spotting scope, it may look nice and clear when your looking at birds, but try to see a .22 caliber bullet hole at 400 meters.

I use a 12 X 40 gold ring Leupold. Expensive, but you only buy one in a lifetime.-----------6
