Re: I think the stockpiling is starting to slow down

I was able to buy pistol primers by the thousand again this week. I also was able to buy xtp bullets in 44, 45 and 10mm today. Along with W231 & 296. No 2400 or Bullseye. They even had a few cans of Varget. I've heard it is really hard to get. More ammo has come in but still no .380. Not that I ...

Re: Info on SA XD-M in 45 acp?

Go for the XD. 13+1 and you can get after market mags that are good quality and add 2 more. The XD-45 is the 1st .45 I've ever owned. I REALLY like it. I've got about 3k rounds through it and have had 1 problem. That was on round 2 and was my fault. Check out the site http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/ G...

OT Federal primers

Hey guys, i asked this a few days ago in Rimfire's primer thread but didn't get an answer. So I'll ask it directly now.

Anyone here have problems with Federal primers being "soft"? My Lee primer handloader says not to use them.

So, what do you think of them?

16" Winchester platter stacks? How many on here have worked with those? I have. First system was an IBM 1130 with 12k of core. It initially had a single 16" platter. Was later upgraded to a stand alone multi-stack drive. Ran under Fortran. I still use a lot of COBOL on our IRS mainframes.
