Just saying hello!

Post by Levergun »

Howdy all!
It has been a while! lately, I have just not had time to post on the forums like I would like to. Really busy doing leather work. I need to get a secratary to take care of my paper work, quotes and dictation so I can talk with ya'll!!

I love my leverguns and the folks associated with them!

So since it has been so long, I thought I should re-introduce myself to all the new comers;

I am Levergun (Lever for short) and own Levergun Leather Works.

I am an avid lover of leverguns and hunt and shoot only leverguns.

I reload all my own ammo including casting my own bullets and making my own lube. ( I do buy Copper jacket stuff too for my hotter stuff.)

I Fish, Hunt, shoot and am a father of 3 and am now a Grandpa too. (Divorced two years ago after 21 years. :( )

So if I can answer any questions on hunting, shooting, reloading, casting, archery or leather, please don't hesitate to send me a PM.

I will try to make a point to spend more time in here with ya'll.

It sure is nice to hear from you again - and to know that your absence is due to having so much work! :D I fear many have or will need to drop off in search of work, given the state of the economy. Glad to have you back!!! :D :D :D

Thanks for the welcome. As some of you know I used to be a regular on the old forum. I actually like the platform of this forum better than the old one, but as I said, making time to post here needs to become more of a priority.

As far as posting pictures of my work, that is not why I want to be active here. I have not problem posting pictures, but I don't think the moderators would appreciate me using their forum as a platform for being cavalier. :D

Ya'll can check out the different things I have made on my website. www.levergunleather.com

Hobbie has one of my holster rigs and so does Jeepnik. YK, you have some of my stuff too don't ya?

As far as work, yes, things are growing nicely, but I am a luxury item and I fear that as the economy falls so will I. If that happens, I will loose everything I have worked for the past 7 years! But what can I do? I'm into it up to here and getting another job will not do the trick at this point. So I am kind of stuck and at the mercy of the good Lord to carry out his will of me and I need to accept it. So I am going to giveit to Him and trust that it is all for the best. Romans 8:28

It's nice to here from you Lever! I'll plug your work a bit...I'm definitely a fan.

Lever does great work and is a good guy to talk to. I've bought several products from him for my leverguns. I can highly recommend him and his work.

Below is some work he did for me - both slings, the butt cuff/cartridge carrier (which has a carving of one of my mulie bucks on the other side), and the belt rifle cartridge carrier. It's worth a few minutes to peruse his sight.

I have noticed my hunting pics still on your sight - I enjoy looking at everyone's pictures. I will send you the pic above, and another of my 2007 WY buck.

Thanks Savage, it is good to know you are thought of.

That would be great Chad. I will be updating my website soon. I have a ton of new stuff to put on it.

Did I ever tell you I finally got my Marlin 93 in 38-55? I love that caliber!

Did you ever get your Sharps? No, I am not going to trade you my Shiloh for your 33Win 86. :D

Nice memory!
I knew about your 38-55. I too would love to have a Marlin in 38-55 and will, someday.
I still have the 33 1886 TD and have special plans for it.
I gave up on the Sharps, but I found an original, unaltered Rolling Block No. 1 Sporter in 45-70, single set trigger, great bore. She's a keeper.

Well I would not say I am successful, but I am paying the bills most of the time now. I will consider it a success when the money for next months bills is already in the bank. :D

Hey Lever, welcome back to the fire. See, you don't need to post pictures of your work. Your very satisfied customers will do that for you.
