I've always just bought and used what was cheapest. Currently Federal HP bulk from WM. For hunting I use CCI mini-mag HPs or Stingers.

Ammo buy
Went into my local fun store today and stumbled into a good buy on .30-30 ammo. 10.00 a box for Federal 150gr soft point Hi-shoks I believe they were called. I haven't seen it this low for several years. Now my levers are happy.

The 9mm Camp carbine has become my main bad times weapon. I have 2 of them. They use my Springfield XD mags that hold 16 rounds each. They are backed up by 2 9mm XDs. They are accurate out to 100 yards with ball or HP ammo. Have very low recoil and decent sights. If I have to shoot further then 100 ...

When I left Fresno 10 years ago, after living there my entire life, it was still fairly conservative. Madera even more so. The Valley as a whole was. Don Tomas, mi amigo, there is a fair amount of talk in the local press that a lot of what the House is doing on this bill is just for show.
