How many leverguns have passed thru your hands since signup?

Post by pharmseller »

I just completed an inventory for insurance purposes and I realized that I have purchased 8 leverguns since signing up at leverguns.com. I have sold zero.

Who says this site is free? :D

How about the rest of you? Bought, sold, and net since you signed up here.

Through? Like you Quinn, that would be zip. I haven't sold a one! :D

Let's see...

Chaparral Arms "Winchester 1876"
Armi Sport "Spencer 1865"
Winchester Model 1895 High Grade
Browning 1886 SRC
Winchester 1892 in .25-20
IAC "Winchester 1887"

I'm two shy of your mark. Yep, this wild bunch has been pretty hard on the ol' wallet!!! I've purchased three firearms (including the 1895 and the 1892) from fellow levergunners here!

Worse yet, of those, my wife only knows about one thus far. Still trying to figure out how best to break the news on the others!!! :o

Being here has also encouraged me to go from a NRA "life member" through "Endowment", "Patron" and now "Benefactor" in less than 2 years - and up my CCRKBA membership to "Life". If you all are a bad influence, I'll take more of it!!! :D

Bought 10 ...Sold 7.

So, I'm still up 3

Safe is about as full as I'm going to let it get. Which means, one in...one out.

I traded up a 99 savage for a better 99 savage. And I should of kept that one for a project gun . It was pretty rough. That willl teach me to get rid of a levergun. I've learned my lesson.

I didn't join before I bought the puma 454 but this site was a major contributing factor on that so I'm gonna count it and I'm gonna count the wife's levers

Legacy Puma 454 from steve's guns
1893 38-55
336 in 35 rem
Chaparral 1876 in 40-60
Savage 99 in 300 savage

Let's see, I've bought 5 Winchester 94s and parts to build 6 more. In fact, just yesterday received word about the stocks & forends I've been looking for. :D :D See, fortuitous that I found this site... One sold, I'd given up on that aspect of "buying & sellin'", except my huntin' buddy his only .30-30 stolen, and I had this pre-64 that someone had carved their DL # into the left side of the receiver... & Mike liked it, and has done plenty of favors for me... went out and bought a safe to protect his "future" guns... so I let him have it... fer a price!

I have bought 4 lever guns and sold 2 of them.

I have 2 Winchesters waiting on my decision to buy.

One is a 1894 pre-war 32 special with a lyman sight, the other is a 94/22.

So, maybe in the next day it will be 6 leverguns bought and 2 sold.

Sold one, a Uberti 73 in .22lr and bought two Winchester 9422s one in .22 Magnum.
I had three other leverguns before I joined this levergun "madness" forum, I guess I should have kept them all just so I would have more to post about!

:D :D
I joined in 2004 with 4 leverguns.
Since then I've bought 26 leverguns.
I've sold 17 since 2004.
Net gain of 9.

It's been a HOOT!!! I've financed a lot of firearms and components buying and selling old Winchesters and a few Marlins. I'm pretty content now, having owned some very nice rifles and now having a nice little collection. For the last two years all purchases have been financed with the sale of other rifles. I'm no longer allowed to hit the family coffers :(

I signed up with just the '86 in my possession.

I have since aquired 39A, Sav 99, Win 94 (45 Colt), BL-22, and a 336.

I have purchased and sold 1895 Cowboy and I received and gave back WWG 50 AK. I also went 1/2's on a BLR (308) but got my 1/2 back when the other part-owner could never bring himself to let me use it my 1/2 of the time.

Bought a bunch and sold or traded a bunch, but I'm about where I want to be in levers and SAAs. I just buy now to sell unless it is a big upgrade, plus I'm about out of mad money.

4 inbound and none outbound. I tend to buy rifles rarely as I am mostly a pistol shooter. I cannot think of selling a lever though.

I haven't sold any either. I think I have 10 now...

Marlin M39 Mountie
Marlin 1894C
Marlin 336T X 2 (.30 and .35)
Winchester 94 (.30)
Chaparral 1876 SRC
Rossi/EMF 92 (.45)
Browning 1886 SRC
Browning 1895 (.30-40)
Savage 99A (.308)

Like Old Savage says, gotta have SAs with lever guns and I've got 5 now... Then these guys put me on to a couple of other sites/forums/groups and...

Shopping for another gun box or safe now........I have kept everything I have bought in the last few years. I sold guns years ago when money was tight... learned my lesson --you never can replace what you had.

Always looking. I need two more W94's to own at least one from each decade. So that's 2, '00-'10 and an '80s version. Then I need to make sure I have at least one in all the original calibers...so that would be 2 more- 38-55 and a 32-40.

Well now if you count since I joined the first time back in 2002 !

I have traded off one NIB Marlin 1895CB , I had purchased this rifle to reline to 40-65 WCF but was fortunate enough to find a nice "original" 1895 of 1896 vintage in the 40-65 caliber !

Now how many that have come into my possesion since 2002 would have to be about 45 I think !

My Marlin "accumulation" has grown by leaps and bounds in the last 5 years !
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !

I joined in 2007. I owned a Savage 99 in 300 Savage.

Since then I have bought;

Rossi 92 in .357 mag
Rossi 92 in .44 mag
Rossi 92 in .357 mag (gave to my dad for Christmas)
Winchester Antique Mod 94 in 30-30
Browning 1886 in .45-70
Sharps 45-70
Winchster 9422
Winchester (Crazy Horse Commemorative) in 38-55
Springfield Trapdoor in 45-70 (though not a lever, my encouragement to buy came from here)

I have sold none (although i need to sell one to pay for another I was thinking of the 9422 or my Kimber Pro Carry) :?

I had 1, a Rossi SRC in .357magnum. I found this site while looking for info on it. I have since bought 6 others, a Marlin 1894 in .44 mag, a Marlin 336 in .30-30, a model 88 in .308, a Marlin .22LR and a Sears Roebuck in .30-30.

My favorite is the 1894 SS .44magnum with the .22 being a close 2nd.

I had a Marlin 1894(C?) in .357 that I gave to my best friend 4 years ago as a combo retirement and wedding present. The Rossi replaces that.

0/0 for me...

I've never sold a levergun and the ones I bought were before I was here. There is a possibility that I was already signed up here (on the old forum) when I found the Rossi 92 SRC in .357
