OT Update on gunrange DOG!!!By Mrs Mutt pics

Post by Mutt »

Hello Everyone,
Well it is official now, the name for the dog is.....D O G :!: You should have seen their faces at the vets Friday when they asked me what was my dog's name :o and I said "Dog". Of course I blamed it on my Hubby and the nice people on his gun forum  . I have called him Doggie for short and Hubby said it is an insult  to such a fine looking Shepard.
Dog (a.k.a. Doggie) received his 1st set of shots, got wormed again and weighs 47.7 lbs. He is between 9-12 months
old and as healthy as a horse. You know what is next on the agenda...have to get fixed.
He is digging a new sewer line in the back yard for us :x and the old cow skull doesn't have any more horns :? .
Yes, life is more interesting now. The cat still doesn't like her new playmate but you can see she is tolerating him rather well.  Her name is Troubles and I had no idea that she would be. Mutt said she is the instigator because she will follow Dog from room to room and get just out of his reach and growls and hisses causing a lot of barking and the cat getting shot with the water gun. Yep, life is good!!!! Thanks for all the help and I'll remember not to ask for help naming my next Grandchild. Mrs.Mutt

I wish you many happy years with "DOG". There is no accounting for the fine taste of the members of this forum :D

Gotta get him fixed??

Y'all didn't tell us he was broken when you got him.

One of my all time favorite cartoon was at my vet's office. it showed a dog in the front passenger's seat where he was waving to another dog in the front yard. The dog in the passenger's seat was saying "bye, bye Rex. We're going to stop by the library then I'm going to the vet's office to get tutored."

Good dog. Sit.

On my last large shepherd mix, the name on his collar was Guard. His name was Jasper, but the command for him to take an aggressive stance and bark hard at something was "GUARD". Figured that if a stranger got him, they'd have quite a hard time communicating with him. :D
Kind regards,

Fine looking hound. Any dog that would cause the cat to get squirted with the squirt gun is alright in my book..!

You don't have to get him fixed - I think it messes up/changes the males. Ours isn't and never will be. As long as you're not letting him run, whats the point? Why go to the expense?

They don't tell you this, but he'll be healthier and be able to maintain is weight much easier with his manhood intact.

If you have a heart to heart with him, I'm sure he'll tell you all of this! ;)

At least your people come up with new names and you're no stuck with the same name your predecessor (not bad for a Mastiff - eh?) - I'm officially "CHARLEY IV" - they just name all guys here "CHARLEY" so they don't have to change the listing in the phone directory.

Yep - I get mail, credit card offers, and even political phone calls - all in the name of protecting their privacy.

Oh well - the pay is good.

Fine looking dog that DOG is. I second the thought, there's no need to castrate him, he's not gonna pollute the herd dna. My springer's all there and happy to be that way. Just saying..,

Thanks, Grizz - we do the best we can - which is more than Charley thinks our football teams (CU Buffs & Denver Broncos) are doing -

Thanks for your kind comments. In fact, they have their own king sized bed in our trailer oposite end of ours -

(Note license plate)

In years past we showed them but retired - got many titles - mostly obedience titles. Now we "fix" them at six months and just love them. They share furniture also -

Image

No humping or spraying - well behaved (every dog of the great many we've ever owned get obedience training every day from day one) - except - worst risk - DROOL & SLINGERS

"Drool is cool"

When we get to the "Rainbow Bridge", we'll have some explaining to do with those waiting because these are the first we ever allowed on the furniture. :)
