Guys,
I have been chasing a large 8 point buck for the last 3 years here in Wisconsin. I saw him 3 times last year while bow hunting, but he never was in the right spot for a good shot. Another forum member emailed and asked to see a picture of him. My wife snapped this picture of him last November while driving to the gas station for milk. I was in a tree stand 3 miles away hunting him. I know why I did not see him this morning. This was from 60 yards in a river bottom, he is still running in my area I saw him last week.
I was on vacation all last week, and had a few cameras out in my hunting area. This buck is starting to get my attention now. This was from this past Friday, he has some character. Bow season is less than 2 months away!

its always fun to hunt one particular animal that you get to know over the years. I have been doing the same for a few years. Still with no luck. Last two years I have chosen to not take any deer rather than settle. Good luck in your quest.

That's a nice deer - he'll be a monster by season opening.
We had one here for several years we called "The Ghost". Several people who are normally good shots missed him. One evening, I was at the blind and he came out but was too far for a safe shot with open sights. I put the gun down and watched him with binoculars for about twenty minutes. The boys went crazy when I got back and told them I'd seen him but refrained from shooting due to distance.
His rack was almost black with polished white tips - a unique and easily identified configuration. He sired several good bucks but disappeared after about 5 years so I do not know what became of him.

My hat’s off to you for having the stamina and fortitude to give an adversary a good chase. I'm always sad when the chase is over. Good luck in the coming seasons.
