POLITICS - A fine article on the Second Amendment

Post by Doc Hudson »

My brother Andy Gladwell has started a new blog and he started it with a bang. He has posted an excellent article on the Second Amendment that he recently wrote for his local newspaper.

Why the warning about "content may not be appropriate for children" ?

The corporate firewall won't let me view sites with "adult" content.

Thanks.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Because (A) it's about (gasp) guns and (B) for whatever reason the author signed the article with "XXX" which the 'bots read as "adult content".

The only adult content is the word "d a m n" in the last sentence. I had fits getting through all the filters to read it. It is an excellent article. Needs to be copied and pasted here for more of us to read.

Constitutional rights are 'adult' topics?

I actually spoke to Andy about that "Adult Content" stuff.

He did it because some filters prevented access to gun related content. He also said that he would remove that Adult Content thing. He was worried that he'd need to moderate his language if he made to blog contents available to all.

I told him that I saw no problem with his writing style and as long as he avoided George Carlin's "7 Words you Can't Say on TV," all of which HAVE been said frequently on TV, I saw no reason to label his articles as "Adult Content" or to moderate his writing style.

I also told him of the responses you guys have made, and he said he'd sure love to see some folks leave comments.
