All the 81's were black powder guns. Never made them in 38/40. But they were made in 38/55, though I'v never seen 38/55 marked 38W on anything. Its actually a Marlin/Ballard caliber.

Mine came with the LFC die but I dont use it much. The seating die has a crimp shoulder just like every other standard seating die does. I'm not fond of the LFC die with cast bullets, I prefer to roll crimp into the crimp groove.
