I've never tried it with a solid pilot reamer. Call Dave Kiff at PTG and ask him. depending on where it is going to pick the cut up it may be hunting for the barrel centre if there is a long lead.

No
velocities seem fine.

The 50 fps variation is well within that expected for this type of bulky powder and case design. It can be easily explained away by a small variation in internal case capacity of neck tension and is statisticaly insignificant.

No idea what it would cost in the US but any chrome plater can simply put it in the bath and reverse the polarity and plate it off again.
Then there is proberbly a copper layer beneath that has to be plated off as well.

Of those, I would recommend the 416 Taylor. It will give you 416 Rigby performance in a medium action. There is a wide choice of bullets. It has an easily availible parent case. It will reach out for the largest plains game and in a pinch will stop a charge from the big boys. Why cannot you have the...

It is not the acid that is the problem. When you melt it you will release cadmium. This will, not may...rot your bones out, with small and undetectable quantities.

I have never read of a hunter being lost to that form of instability. You would have far more chance of being killed by an animal. Your outfitter is not going to let you wander around a dangerous urban area.
