OT: Update on my wife...
With much help from all your prayers, my good wife passed from this earth quickly, painlessly, and peacefully @ 12:53pm December 27th, 2007 in our home family room with my son and myself at her side. A Hospice nurse was in attendance as a legal witness.
The memorial service and graveside went very smoothly. My son is making his way back to college in Rexburg, Idaho with his mother's car making great time.
I'm here doing quite well. My faith and memories of her deliverance from the long 8 year battle sustain me wonderfully. No more suffering, no more chemo treatments, no more long doctor's appointments. I counted over 65 chemo teatments and 183 doctor appointments over the last 3 and a half years.
Again, many thanks for your prayers and support over this very trying time in my life.
What a precious resource this site is! My thanks to Paco and all who manage it...I'll be a regular contributor and support to all who are passing through their own trials. May the Lord bless you all...
Sincerely,
Richard H. Sim (45-70)

Heal well friend. May the days be filled with loving memories of her and the joy she brought your family. May the rest of your days be as full as she wishes them to be.
Kind regards,

Thank you for letting us know. We can only imagine what you and your family have gone through over the past few years. May God's peace be yours as you adjust to this new phase of your life. May you continue to turn to Him in all things.

Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat . . . . Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.

Richard,
It is with a heavy heart that I read of your wife's passing. Sadness is a proper feeling and the start down the road to understanding.
I will celebrate your wife's contributions to the world. And the many happy memories she created throughout her life on this earth.
I will rejoice in the knowledge that she sits with the Almighty and basks in His Glory. Be safe in the knowledge that one day when He chooses. You will be rejoined in eternal life with the one you so love.
May God Bless you and yours

wifes passing
Richard, it's always sad to hear of someones spouse passing away, particularly when one reads words such as you posted about your wifes suffering, and trials the family has gone through while you waited for a better outcome. You sound like a strong man who can accept big setbacks, but I will pray that your grief passes quickly. It really helps you that you have some faith and understanding in all this. Bruce

You seem strong enough to endure this. We've all been there, or will be.
We'll be remembered for what we've done, not what we have.

I will continue to pray for you and your son. Can you just imagine what it is like where she is now? She is there with my daughter and others looking on the Lord's face, singing and praising Him right now. What a blessing.

Rich, very sorry to hear this. I will also say a prayer for your family. I suppose it may be somewhat comforting knowing her suffering is over.
