Re: Weaver Opinions
I like the old Weavers. There seems to be plenty of them at the gunshows prices very alot. I have a couple of K4 's and they are clear and work well in low light. I would like a k3 but the ones I find seem to have the target reticle. Which the crosshairs are just to fine in low light for hunting. I...

Re: Colt SAA
I paid $1140 NIB. Great deal then and great deal now. I wanted the longer barrel, for target shooting. If I was going to be carrying it or shooting CAS I would have gone shorter. 6pt, you know how much fun the 32-20 is, in a rifle, and in a revolver it's the same......a 30 cal .22 mag. I alr...

Re: Colt SAA
I bought a 7.5" 32-20 about a year ago and I have had no regrets. The cost is about the same, so you might as well get the Colt. What I have found is that it likes a slow bullet. My accuracy load is 3.9gr of HP-38 under a Laser-Cast 115gr bullet. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c385/bnw439/f...

Chuck , I have (I think) 14 Leupolds and a Swarovski that get moved around from rifle to rifle every year ! I figure for the older Marlin's that are more as collectibles then hard hunting rifles the Weavers from the same time period should be okay ! Now for the Guide Guns and XLR's it's Leupold all ...

Sorry but this question is absurd to me  I mean heck I would have a hard time choosing ONE rifle for a specific caliber , much less one rifle period ! I did have a shotgun that most likely could have made a single shotgun thing but it was a Krieghoff K-32 with a 28" skeet barrel and Kolar...

And in single shots I have 22" to 28" barrels !

My own preference is for the 32-40 first followed closely by the 25-36 Marlin ! Then comes the 32 Special , followed by the 38-55 and lastly the 30-30 ! Now if you looked at it from another way . I own exactly one 32-40 , one 25-36 , two 38-55's , three 32 Specials and ten 30-30's . So that oughta t...
