OT - Trade Made

Post by 6pt-sika »

Traded off my S&W 460 S&W MAG revolver to a friend for a like new Remington 700BDL stainless synthetic in 264 WIN MAG that has Leupold mounts and a Leupold Vari XII 4-12 sliver scope .

I had one of these before and like a fool sold it . They were a special run for Accu-Sport about 5 years ago . SO when my friend said perhaps we could trade . I new what he paid for the rifle since we both bought them from the same dealer and the scope and mounts are pretty standerd in price . Anyway I figured we both had about the same in the two as they were !
So what the heck !!!!

Good trade. What is the barrel length on the .264? I am interested in what you find, ballistically speaking. Thanks. 1886.

Those rifles are awesome and the 264 is a very underated cartridge. My "go-to" bolt gun is a custom Rem 721 synthetic stainless in .264 WM that pretty much looks like yours. Nosler 140s have been knocking great big holes in deer and elk for my dad and me for a long time. My dad started shooting the 264 in 1963 adn only stopped because I took his rifle. I absolutely love that round.

Good for you. Need any brass?

This is my third 264 WIN MAG , and the second of this particular rifle !!

The barrel length of this thing is 26" , I do not particularly care for a 264 with a shorter barrel , although to each his own

The other one i had that was identiacl to this one shot exceptionally well with the Hornady 129 Spire Point , the Hornady 129 SST and the Barnes 130 X bullet .
