Re: Want a 22mag Lever, But They Cost More to Shoot Than 357mag
Ya, but...You don't have to pick up your brass, clean it, prep it and load it. Add in your time loading at min wage and the .22 WMR is cheaper. Also fun, relaxing and capable round up to coyote sized game. I must admit my Single Six's do not see a lot of magnum use, but my 9422M is one of my favorit...

Re: 94AE Has new shoes - Thanks Meanc
Thanks all, that old wood has bugged me since I bought this gun new at Big5 on sale back in 95. I just kept putting it off, thinking the same as gak, long wood and steel carbine butt plate but Meanc's offer in the classifieds made me decide to just get some walnut on it! I was comparing the stock on...

94AE Has new shoes - Thanks Meanc
I finally replaced the ugly hardwood stocks on my Winchester 94AE .44 Mag, thanks to Meanc selling a set in the classifieds! This gun deserves walnut after all the dang work I have put into it, half cock conversion, safety filler and sights. It's about as close to a real Winchester as an AE can get ...

You have to stay on them. I was hit in an intersection about 8 years ago in my 98 Dodge Ram. I have a Rossi "Puma" 92 in .357, a Marlin 1894CB in .357 and a Winchester 94AE .44 Mag. Fit and finish would have to go to the Marlin.
If I were looking for the best fit and finish I would hunt down a used Browning 92 in either .357 or .44

First try at handgun grips, I used the same wood that I made the scales for my Machete, the two of them make a nice set! I hated the black rubber Pachmayr’s that were on it, I was going to buy a set of Buffalo Horn grips. My cheapskate side took over and I decided since the machete scales turned out...

Yes, at the widest diameter. And be sure to measure the cylinder throats also, Ruger has a reputation for being undersized. Also when you are slugging the barrel, be mindful of the feel of the slug as you push it through, you will be able to feel any constricted points that may cause accuracy proble...

Nice score! Sometimes you just have to scratch your head and wonder why Marlin dropped the 30-30 CB? Glad you found yours.
I'm with Wind, strip the wood, carefully sand off the checkering, wood putty the tack holes stain with Ed's Red and finish with Tru-Oil.
