I know what you mean. I finished hauling in all the wood I had cut and split in the bush today and I didn't quite fill my 3 rows, I probably have enough, but I'll go back and cut another small one down just to be sure I have enough, hate looking for wood in the spring if I run out.

I would pull the bullet on 1 and resize it to see if it loads ok then. I don't think you could resize a loaded round since the bullet wouldn't permit the case to enter the die. I'd vote for the Axis also. I have one in 223 and it shoots great!! It may not be the prettiest out there but it is not a fashion show. For a starter rifle I don't think it can be beat. (value for money spent)
