A Favor Please.....

Post by Blaine »

I'm showing the Harley in an hour. If he buys it, I'll pay off the new Yamaha Tenere, and actually be able to meagerly exist on my military pension alone, if need be...A positive thought, or two would be appreciated...I have to say, retirement is starting to look good, with maybe a part time gig to make play money............Welcome To WalMart!! (and your screaming little bastards, too)
(This also speaks to the mistake I made about not paying cash for most things  )

Good luck. I plan to leave my military job in two to three years at 50-51 years old. Plan to see how little work I can get away with.

Your Military experience whould stand you in good stead as a door greeter. You have many years experience of keeping a neutral expression. I would have have a hard time being a door greeter. I would probably be fired for laughing. But, on the other hand, I didn't get in trouble for snickering at seeing David Allen Coe drunk and wearing 1 tennis shoe and 1 boot back when I worked for Wal Mart as a Pharmacist.

If we had Wal-Mart greeters with good sense and a degree of decorum where would we find all those Wal-Mart "martians" we love to laugh at?

He wants to look at one other scoot, a 2010 of the same model as mine (ultra classic). With what he wants to pay, a 2010 @ that price is going to have big miles on it (40,000 or more) or be a beater, or the seller is crazy or hard up.

Good luck. Prayers continue. I sold my harley today. Close the deal and turn it over on Friday. Same day I take possession of a cabin near new hunting grounds. I am very excited.
