I have both. My Marlins are much more accurate than my Rossies. But the Rossi 92 is one darned fun gun. Both of mine in .44 wil shoot Mags and Spls flawlessly. That wasn't true for the 357s. The Marlin I had wouldn't feed 38s and my Rossi wouldn't feed 357s. A trip to the gunsmith ( Stevesgunz.com) ...

Couple more thoughts... I was expecting to see a lot of guys showing off thier vintage Winchesters. Saw a couple but most of the Guys were shooting Marlins. Mainly Cowboy models and a lot of 357s. The Small bore rifle shoot was almost all Marlins with a couple 9422s one or two Henrys and one Win Mod...

PA State Silhouete Match
Had a great time at the Penn. State Silhouete Match. My first time shooting a sil. match. Diidn't do great but at least I wasn't DFL! Met up w/ John K. aka w30wcf. Super nice guy! The McKean County Rifle club where the match is held. Only 20 min. from my cabin but I'd never been there. http://i135.p...

Been there, done that a couple times. Both times while building houses. Last time I sold off some really good stuff because of the higher $ value. Really wish I hadn't. I have several guns that have been passed down to me. In a moment of sheer stupidity I sold a Win. 92 SRC button mag in 25-20 for a...

OT- Anybody need a new dog?
We rounded up a male weimaraner today. He's at the pound now. I told them if no one claims him that we want him back so we can find him a home. I'd keep him but we already have three big dogs and am dog sitting for a friend for a month or so. Just can't handle five. If anyone has any interest shoot ...

I also have a Rossi 92 that has been worked over by Steve Young. Couldn't be happier w/it. It's one of the older Interarms imports that I found new in the box for $250 at a local show. Slicker than snot and a great shooter! I'm a big fan of the Marlins too. I don't have a 357 but my .44, .45, 450M a...

Box 'o Winchester! Back Together!
Traded an Enfield No4 that I had $55 in and 100 bucks for this model 92/ 32-20. Already have three 32-20s but I couldn't pass it up. Rifle is all there with a second set of stocks on their way. Fore end and but stock are both cracked but serviceable. Can't wait to put it back togeter. http://i135.ph...

Got my Rossi 92 / 357 back from Steve Young!!
Rossi arrived Wed afternoon and finally got to the range today. Sooo worth the wait! He did an action job and installed new front and rear sights. All I can say is "WOW"!! It was always a good shooter w/ 38s but wouldn't feed or even load more than three 357s. Now it feeds my Horn 125 XTPs...

New ( to me) Rossi 92/ 480 Ruger/ McPherson custom
I bought Gary W ( 1886) custom 92 Rossi. Super nice guy and rifle was EXACTLY as described! He even let me make a couple payments on it. First impression was that it was "Slicker than Snot" :D Ran home and grabbed some ammo that I had made in anticipation of it's arrival. 27 grs. /W 296 &a...
