I think he mistakenly put an extra zero on his price.

Wow! To think I've only passed up on 70 or 80 of those! Had no idea how rare they were!

Westernfield or Revelation was the Western Auto brand.
A Glenfield 30 was a budget version of a Marlin 336 using birch rather than walnut for the stocks and most had a pressed (albeit badly) image of oak leaves and deer on the stock. Basically, it's a Marlin 336 with cheaper furniture and a stamped rear sight. The Glenfield 60 was the rimfire version of a Marlin 60 in .22LR with squirrels and oak leaves also pressed into a birch stock. Both are fairly common in pawn shops. I think I paid a whopping $170 for my minty Glenfield 30A about a year ago.

Heck, I wouldn't take $1MM for mine! It must be extremely rare....bought it in '67 or '68.

I really like the statement:
"THIS GUN IS RARE"
That does it for me. Where do I send the check?

If that's the case, I have a rare NIB Ruger 10/22 that I will part with for $1000, if you ask really nice. Let me know so I can pick it up from Wally World before shipping it!

The more I look at this the weirder it gets. The serial number indicates that it was made in 1979, not 1972. The seller also states that only 1000 - 2500 were made. The Gospel according to Brophy puts the number at 268,905. Marlin produced these rifles from 1971 - 1982. I think Scott64A hit the nail on the head.

I think the reason it's so valuable is the part where he says,"it isn't being used now". Temporarily it is unused!
