Re: Weeeelll it is a lever...1911 safety
IIRC, a gov't property Ithaca should have parkerized slide release and safety, (both hammer block and grip). Also, Ithaca WWII guns were the 3rd least produced, after Rem-UMC & Singer. Ithaca (M1911-A1): (Return to top) Ithaca started production in December of 1942 and was the only established ...

And you also have the true stories of brown bear being killed with a .22 LR. For every story that you can come up with mouse caliber pistol that failed in defensive shoot out's, one can post huge beasts being killed with what is perceived as inadequate calibers. African poachers successfully taking...

Griff, love the 45 ACP in a lever gun. DRC made my 1894 in 45 ACP. Do you think that the 1873 in 45 Colt with a new Cowboy carrier could be the way to go? Any gunsmiths you could recommend?

Our favorite, tradtional leverguns were designed around rimmed cartridges, and still work best that way.. Lots of non-traditional alterations can be made to them, to allow them to accept rimless rounds, for example, but there isn't enough interest in the process to make it commercially viable.. Tra...

Dave made the conversion about 2 years ago. I leather work as a hobby so I wanted a butt cuff that carries a 1911 mag for my 1911 or ammo for the 1894. Very well done! What was the cost of the conversion itself? I am not sure what he charges anymore, Dave has started his new company here in North T...

A friend of mine just finished building one. He's currently working the kinks out, then he sez, he'll put some lipstick on the pig. I'd heard stories of attempts to make the .45ACP work in a levergun for years... and if anyone had showed me a functioning, reliable example, I would already have one....
