Re: Got the left eye done last Monday
Best of luck to ya, sir! Did the surgeon ask at what distance you wanted your eye to focus best? Or do you have one of those new flexible lenses? -Stretch I went with single focus far. He couldn't tell me where far would start because it depends on what you would be satisfied with for clarity near ...

It hasn't finished healing yet because the cornea has a scratch on it but.. Today I tried a couple rifles left handed. The 92 with 24 inch barrel the front firesight is crisp, guide gun is a little fuzzy and the Dan Wesson with a Millet peep rear and a rifle bead is just right if I hold it out one h...

I bought a Work Sharp belt type sharpener a couple years ago. They were cheaper then than they are now. It puts on a curved, or convex, edge on for more strength and less drag using a 220 grit belt for shaping and a 6000 grit for polishing and honing. Down side is learning how to use it. Do not appl...

My grandfather drove steam trains back in Maine and the first diesel to ever come to the state. He used to tell the story of a hobo who came into the roundhouse one day and asked to use the forge. What about one of the O/U rifle shotguns.
Savage 24, Baikel MP-94 or Remington SPR-94 (same gun as the Baikel)?
They come in various caliber/gauge combos.

Cataract replacement lens
I go in late in the month for the surgery and have a question. The replacement lenses are single focus, near or far. The doctor left it up to me to choose. In my experience good tires are number one no matter what you drive, when you touch the brakes on a 4x4 you're in "no wheel drive" and bad things happen without good tread. Back in the '70's I had the only BMW in Maine with a fitted set of V-bar truck chains on the back. I can't count how ...

You've probably got an inertial firing pin, doesn't touch the cartridge with the hammer down and the force of the hammer blow causes it to spring out against the primer for a quick punch.
If you do old dried lube and dirt on the pin may be the problem.
