Maybe I don't need those bathroom cabinets.
I can always use the kitchen sink.
Been looking for one of these for years.

When I clicked on "get quote" and plugged in my zip the local dealer came up at $844. Gallery of guns has 39 available.

Yep. Same as the ones that carried the Remington label. I'd sure like to have one of those. Had to pass on one i saw on Gunbroker for lack of funds. Sold for $605.

Those got expensive in a big hurry....I saw a used Baikal-labeled one in Cabala's not too long ago for about 500.....I was tempted to pick it up just because, but didn'tTedH wrote:Yep. I couldn't pass one up at $500, even if I had to put it on the plastic.

That was about the same day I just spent bucks for the 625-3, and I was looking for moon clips...Still, and all....TedH wrote:I couldn't pass one up at $500, even if I had to put it on the plastic.

I had one of these when Remington was the importer. It was fun until I started shooting useful loads -- the Speer 405 at 1500 and up -- and then the fact the gun weighs under 7 pounds quickly dissuaded my shoulder. If they would put more meat in the barrels, these would be better guns, but that might affect the jackscrew regulation system. Seems like the NECG peep sight for the Ruger No. 1 fits the rib on these. If you are immune to recoil, get one and have some fun!

Re: Maybe I don't need those bathroom cabinets.
Last year I purchased a Baikal 12 gauge over .308 Win. as my "one gun do all" type of weapon. Used it deer hunting last year and got a nice medium sized 8 pointer with it.
I have been extremely pleased with the firearm and it's accuracy. At $705 retail it was a bit spendy but I am convinced that I got a lot for my money.
