$8,999 Lever Action

I was at gander Mountain in Reynoldsburg Ohio and they had a $8,999 Winchester lever action there. My eyes are bad and I asked the kid standing next to me as we looked across the counter if that was the price and he said yes. Seriously, it looked well worn. The store was busy and they only had 3 peo...

Personally I think the best bang for the buck is the Dan Wesson Heritage 1911. It is a series 70 built 1911. Mine had a better trigger on it then my les baer, and the fit and finish is the same. Price is only $1150 when you can find them. They employ I believe only 16 workers in New York and don't p...

Winchester 1892 in 45lc, what do you think?

The local gunshop down the road has a new winchester 1892 in 45lc with color cased receiver and 24 inch barrel. This is a thing of beauty and shoulders good. Downside is the price tag on it is $1170 (the lowest they would sell it for). Looking around the internet I cannot find another one for sale, ...

Just a quick note that Gander Mountain has remington core lokt 30-30 for 11.99 a box and remington has a rebate going on for 5.00 off of two boxes. That makes it 9.50/box. I definately think the single six shooting 22 mag or 17 hmr is great for all around pest and varmint control. Bigger caliber is only needed for protection and varmints usually do not attack man unless it is a wild dog. And the gunshot sound and sting of the .22 mag will stop that dogs attack.
