My MD's say I should be on disability due to my back. But I don't qualify. Will have to retain a lawyer to do what the DRs say I should do.

You are right, the govt, and most of the bureaucrats in this country don't care. Kick back, regroup, and get a lawyer if you have to.

Satan can`t steal our salvation but he`s good at making your life miserable so your worthless to God.
Joe sent me a nice story which helped, thanks Joe and everyone.

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. 'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.'

The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?' 'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.' For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

SO, to all of my crack-pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path

Sorry to here that Pitchy. Is there a veteran advocate group that can help you? Try writing a letter to your congressman explaining your situation, it might be a longshot but I have heard congressmen helping vets before by getting the wheels turning.

And thanks for your service to "our" country. The good ol USA.

I appreciate the friendships here and need them, the only joy i have in my life right now is my guns and fellowship on a couple forums this one included. If i had a place to go and the money i`d give my place away as i have no family that cares and getting surounded by people.
I put on a pretty good face but things are pretty bad around here and have been for a while and i hate the fact that i even have to talk about it.
Depression along with bad health and a broken heart is not a good thing so keep the prayers coming i appreciate them.
I have a lot of faith though it`s tested sometimes but i`m confident that God will get us through all this.
Thanks again and i hope ya can tolerate my moments.

Hang in there, Pitchy.
When I was "in," I sustained an injury in training that for three years they claimed was non-existent.
One "doctor" asked why I was trying to get out. I wasn't trying to get out - I was trying to get repaired so I could stay IN.
Eventually, a "doctor" decided I had a bad so-and-so ligament and they removed it.
No help whatsoever and any real doctor I have ever seen since asks me why in the world they removed THAT.
This went on for six years with no relief until I saw a real doctor - becase the post I was at was too small to warrant stationing one of theirs there.

The injury was 32 years ago.
TWO years ago I saw a neurosurgeon about a bad disc in my neck.
He asked about any previous neck injuries and I related that tale.
Off to x-ray and back in his offic in fifteen minutes.
He slapped the x-ray on the lighted panel and pointed to my new injury and then showed me the 1979 injury - where I had almost BROKEN MY FREAKIN' NECK!!

The medical mistreatment was the main reason I gave that life up.
I feel badly for vets who still need it - and there are a lot of them out there.

It was part of the deal, dammit!

The year I finally decided to sign up for VA medical they closed the Gate .Denied. I might be able to reaply now and get on, it would sure help.

I am sorry to hear of this situation. It sort of galls me that many people are denied what is due to them for their sacrifice and yet many are given because there is a sense of entitlement. I will pray today for all who are in need.

Sorry to hear about your situation, Pitchy. I'd think, dangerous I know because it's common sense, you should be able to get that memo with a request for public information. I wouldn't think it would still be classified if it ever was.

Praying for you buddy. And, as stated, you're well liked here and I'm proud to call you brother.

Sad that this has to be a "fight". Wrong too.

I think of all of the people in this country taking from the public funds that do not deserve a dime.... makes you mad.

I hope this resolves favorably sooner than later.

Thanks guys, feeling better today.
My sacrifice was nothin compared to many others and when i see those that lost limbs or those that died i feel i shouldn`t ask for anything.
All a person can do is what they believe is right in their heart , i wish i hadn`t got that letter on this memorial day weekend because i`d rather salute those that need help more than me than have made this thread.
God Bless everyone that served , suffered or died, and Lord forgive me for asking for anything when i should be asking how can i help someone in more need.
Thanks for your support guys i appreciate it.
