Montana: Hunters buy nearly 2,600 wolf hunting licenses

Hunters purchased nearly 2,600 wolf licenses Monday, the first day they went on sale in Montana. The sales occurred on the same day U.S. District Judge Mike Molloy of Missoula heard arguments from animal rights and environmental groups seeking to block hunts in Idaho and Montana. Idaho's hunt starte...

I see one old guy at one of the local gunshops that ALWAYS has the back of his Jeep wagoneer FULL of rifle cases. If he wasn't so darned loony, I'd have to talk with him for a while and fondle 'em. From what I hear, he's retired and just buys guns whenever he finds a good deal.

Sheep can go extinct now; we have polarfleece and Under Armour! As for hot pursuit, predators only run as long as they're chased, then they circle back. As long as they're in range, they're a target; they have no right to sniff around the stock until they decide to bite. The government has no busine...

While I hate sheep, those that want something can pay for it. Since the darned granolas want wolves, how about a $20 tax on PETA, Protectors of Wildlife, ROAR, WWF, and other granola club memberships? Sales of firearms and ammo are taxed extra to pay for wildlife management, and we don't complain. (...
