Re: A lever with a pistol grip (Part one…)

Ugly but I would try it. My favorite leverguns have always been straight stock models but do to nerve damage in my right arm/hand I find I can shoot my pistol grip Marlins better. This may even improve on that.

Re: Anyone shoot the 22 TCM round?

It is a hoot to shoot! loud as heck, not recoil to speak of, more accurate than I am anymore, turns fruit into juice (shooting over ripe apples from about 15 yards they just disappear), will slice right through old shovel heads and car doors. Might be a good close in varmint handgun but would probab...

Hoping to shoot

this one tomorrow. 1884 Springfield made in 1889 according to the serial. Bore looks great, mechanicals all work as they should. If it shoots good enough I am hoping to smack down a deer with it once season starts.

I have had really good luck using Starburst Fruit chews for bait in rat traps. You get them a little warm and mold them to the trigger, make sure it takes a little effort to spring the trap so it does go off just by them bumping it. They will work hard a getting the candy chewed off of the trigger.

Nice! I have a 2x Leupold on my SBH and it has served me well for 20 years or so. I also have a Simmons Prohunter 4x pistol scope that is holding up to my 7mm-08 Lone eagle. Cheap scope but if it takes the recoil form the LE a 44 mag SBH should be no problem.

Was it knocking? Mid 2000 chevy v-8s are known for oil pump problems. If it was not knocking can likely remedy buy cleaning out pan, replacing oil pump and running real oil in it not the 5w20 or 30 they call for.

Glad you got a good one. The last couple of late production Marlins I have seen were not pretty. The Leverrevolution ammo can be quite accurate, but it is a shoulder...
