My new grandson Aaron Paul Taglinao came into this world in Cagayan de Oro City Philippines at approximately 9:50 AM December 23rd . He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces .

I'll get to meet this little man February 21st if everything goes as planned .
First the snow needs to cooperate and not mess up my flight out of Dullus February 18th , then I need to get thru the airport in Manila without one of the terminal workers trying to plant a 22 bullet in my luggage and try to get money out of me LOL's !
I'll arrive if all goes well in Manila February 19th and my wife and I will leave Manila for CDO on the 21st for Cagayan de Oro then I can kiss our daughter hug our son in law and meet our grandson !

Well I dunno !
I was thinking more of a nice little 243 or 260 bolt action . But I need to build a left handed Remington 700 in 260 for the little mans grandma before I get one for him . Now if the little one turns out to be left handed he can use his grandma's rifle
Incidently I think I've picked up a Savage Model 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor to play at the bench with !
My days of shooting the big magnums for extended periods at the bench are over I'm afraid . Although I plan to keep my 375 H&H MAG

Like that little rascal they are all keepers, later at times you will want to through some back. God's word tells us they are all blessings and really they are.
JerryB II Corinthians 3:17, Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

BOLT ACTIONS?????? That's what a feller gets when he can't find a good lever gun!! And you got at least 10 years to look!
He sure is a cutie!

Nope I know where there's a rather nice circa 1967 Marlin 336-44 I sold a fellow and I am sure at some point I can get it back . But the little guy needs to be the correct size because I will not cut the stock off . And I don't think he'll be up for a 44 MAG for awhile . Although I had my first 44 MAG when I was 13 or 14 I think (Ruger 44R Carbine). After having as many as 100 lever actions at one point , I'm kinda looking for other things of intrest in the gun world . I dare say the 6.5's and Parker shotguns are at the head of the pack for me at the moment .
Nothing wrong with bolt actions . If I'm wound up to kill a deer and not in laid back mode where I'm using a 444 with some new bullet I cast I'll more then likely have a bolt action and nine times out of ten that bolt gun will be a 6.5mm . My 375 H&H MAG is a Ruger #1H .
