New gun theme show on cable, "Wild West Alaska"
This show is on Animal Planet. This one has Alaska scenes, a pretty girl named Pfred, a gruff store manager and the typical reality gun shop crew. It also has some hunting footage. The show is based in Jim West's Wild West Guns in Anchorage, AK. I think I'll watch at least a few episodes.

My friend in Anchorage sold all his 223 ammo for $20 per twenty round box, and he had about 100 boxes of it. He also sold a Bushmaster AR carbine for $1600, then bought a longer barrel Colt AR from the table next to his for $1250 and about 20 minutes later resold it for 2 grand. He sold various othe...

Re: *AR vs *M1a
Since you already have the Ruger Ranch Rifle in 223, I think you have the high cap defensive rifle side of things well taken care of. If you have a source of 308 or 7.62x51mm ammo, you might go with the M1A. More power if it's ever called for, and that might turn out to be important.

3leg/Todd, I thought we had a pretty good summer. There was a week or so in July when it was sunny and hot in the 80s above. There weren't too many days when we got smoked out by forest fires either. A bake on finish in a grey or black color would probably improve the looks a lot. You've gone to a lot of trouble to save it, so you might as well continue and get it looking as good as possible. It looks much better now than it did before, and I'm sure you will have it shooting again.
