This is bad news. They specialized in cartridges nobody else was making and I found the product to be very consistent. I got all my 375 Winchester and 300 Savage from them when it was nowhere else to be found.

And Thomas, what sort of loads have your used that are not working for you? Does your rifle have a good bore? I know I have never got very decent accuracy from my two 25 Remingtons, but they both have nasty looking bores. I think people used to think they didn't need to clean 22 rimfires or 25 cal....

Impressive Shrapnel. My rifle is such a handy one if I can finally find a good load for it I think it would be just the ticket for the deer and hogs here in South Alabama. This rifle has fought me more than any other one I have owned.

All the ones I have looked at seemed to start no lower than $800. Not many made so they seem to bring a decent premium, even the Winchester Big Bore's chambered in 356 Win are hard to come by.

Was lucky to get some brass when I first acquired my Marlin Model 375. Starline is rumored to be looking at making it but no timeline has been announced. Have never been able to get my hands on any jacketed bullets but they are more available right now than they have been for the past several years....

Yes, you absolutely need a 375 Winchester! I has turned into my favorite rifle and has been easy to load for. It will be in the South Alabama swamps and woods this fall.

Have them make a custom one for you. I had them make one for my 25-35 Winchester and all I had to do was send them a dummy cartridge along with the payment. Seems like they did it in less than four weeks also.daisygordoninc wrote:Thank you I will give them a call.

I did get a pound of IMR 3031 when I purchased the IMR 4451 Sounds like I need to see what it can do with that. Postman just dropped off my dies, the brown truck should be here with the brass and bullets anytime now.

Of the new Enduron powders 4166 is the one I probably need for the 300 Savage. I saw some of that at Bass Pro but couldn't convince myself to try it at their prices. The 4451 I was able to order from a local hardware store was a decent price per pound and based on some of what JohndeFresno explained...

Formed a couple just to see if I could. All I did was run 30-30 cases thru 7-08 Rem and 25-35 Win dies, then trim to length. Chambered and shot fine.

Ok, I took it off the gun and did some minimal cleanup. It is not threaded for an aperture as noted by Malmaute. On the bottom it has the letter "A". Cleaned and looked at it with a magnifying glass but could find no evidence of the letter "D". So should I tell Lyman it's a No. 1...

Excellent. I will have to disassemble it and see if it has the code. The rifle is a Winchester Model 1894 chambered in 32 Winchester Special. Can you get replacement apertures?

What do I have?
Another post have me dragging my 1938 Winchester out of the safe to ask the experts what type of tang sight is mounted on this rifle and is it likely original? Rifle shoots extremely well and I do like the sight. It looks like it needs a good cleaning and might be missing the disc.

I thought it was expensive when I bought a box of 50 in 2004ish. I think I paid $52.00 for a box of 50. At the time I thought that was outrageous for such a small cartridge. At almost $83 a box I wouldn't even think of shooting factory.

Two of the three in our club have Iphone's and we text reports back and forth. I like the safety aspect should there be any trouble but also like the fact if someone makes a kill we can meet them with the game cart instead of walking back to camp to get it.

I`m thinking it was the 104`s that had ejection issues. I think they did have a number of problems, but probably not the one you are referring to. The F-104 shot the pilot out the bottom instead of the top. :shock: Well someone will have to help my poor memory, they had them at Luke in the early 70...
