That's an interesting article. 3 out of 77 ain't good odds but I'll bet they figured an attempt for freedom was better than staying in prison. AJMD, what a peice of history that book is. You should check into that. I hope your cousin realizes what he has.

I handled one a few weeks ago and the fit and finish on it was good. A buddy and I tried real hard to pic it apart and couldn't find any flaws. Maybe there's hope.

I don't currently own a 1911 but I have had Colts and Kimbers. I don't think you'll get more bang for your buck than with a Kimber.

I was 12 when I first paid in. On the same S.S. info sheet they no longer send out through the mail it totals a persons wages for each year. Total up your lifetime wages. It is amazing how long it takes to show a decent figure on a working mans wage.

I own a Winny 1300 and a Mossberg 500. Can't complain about either. I shot a buddies 870 and that's a dandy. I'll settle for my 500 because that's the one I bought first and use the most.
