I have shot several deer and hog with the old lever gun's in 30-30 to say its the ideal for my hunting area isn't so we have many many gas lines that run 1000's of yards so we hunt from box stands you may get one at 50 yards or one from 350 yards so I use many flat shooting rounds from 25-06 to 7mm ...

Someone here may know because this is the 30-30 capitol of the world I picked up a Savage 170 B series 30-30 (lucky me) it’s about an 80 percent now this one has an 18.5 inch barrel its number is C482XXX. It’s a bleed down I been in the plumbing game in one way fashion or form for 40 years and the old school shut off’s had bleed down so you could work on your lines is it plumbed in copper if it is we would blow the water out of the line to make repairs or add on or to winterize the system
