Re: Shots (injections)
I had my spleen removed after a car accident 40+ years ago. I've gotten the flu shot every fall for as long as I can remember given I'm more likely to get the flu and it will be worse for me. Had the shingles shots 6 years ago and both were awful! Had to take the COVID shot to see my Mom in the faci...

Re: Remembering Years Ago
I started reloading in the early 80's. Was making a mere $2.75/hr, so shooting the .44 Magnum at that time was a challenge for sure. My brother went in halfsies with me for a Lee turret press. He never reloaded but I kept his pistol fed. Started with carbide dies, so I got lucky. I still have that p...

Too FUNNY So, I couldn't help myself today. They had a small contingent (maybe 100 people) at one of the intersections in my town (which is one of the reddest countries in a very deep red state :D ). I went through it while they were all out there with their stupid little signs, and got lucky - I g...

I'm about 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. I can tolerate no closer, and wish I was a lot further away. I do have to admit that being close to a lot of doctors (and I need many) is a good thing though. I don't go up there otherwise, unless it is to visit Y2K and go shooting at his fancy-pants clu...

John, did I miss something. Tomorrow they are staging "No Kings" protests in several cities here. Is King Charles trying to retake America? Did America settle the question on a king almost 250 years ago?

I run a red Sig Romeo on my P320 (which still hasn't attacked anyone by itself - weird, huh?). I also run a Holoson green "dot" on my 2011. I prefer the latter - green is easier for me to see in bright daylight conditions. I also like the "reticle" (think scope-like; a circle in...

Re: Newest obsession. 1858 Remington
Hi Jason -
The 1858 Remington's are growing on me. I just love the Colt cap & ball revolvers, from an aesthetics standpoint, but the Remington was a better design. IIRC, Beretta bought Uberti in 2000, not Pietta. The latter is still a stand-alone company, IIRC,

Re: Recently retired...and I
My financial planner says I can retire now, but every year I hold on (mainly for medical coverage) means less draw on my saved resources until I am eligible for Medicare. My plan is to work a bit over 2 years - until January 2028 - and hit my 40th anniversary with my employer. However... if they off...
