I work full time. Add to that shooting, casting, and reloading and my time is pretty much used up.
Beside my computer I have a 5ft fish tank with a bunch of Rift Lake cichlids in it which I am starting to breed successfully.
I can sit and watch those fish for hours.

Is it a full box? if it's only a partial box you could pull a bullet and see if the cases are loaded with black powder. If it's black that should date them to before the early 1890s when they switched to smokeless powders.

I got .4 of an inch at 50 out of the box consistently back when I had my BLR .222. I wouldn't be able to do any better than that no matter how good the gun was.

It's a fun game and I enjoy it even though I'm pretty hopeless at it.
This week I shot a personal best and a personal worst on the same day.
PB was pistol cal with my 357 and a score of 27/40. Worst was rimfire and I ended up with an 11/40.

I'd go with Unique. Blue Dot, or Trailboss, there are plenty of published loads to choose from.
I've tried the others and settled on Trailboss for my 175gr - 180gr loads because there is no way to double charge and there is no recoil to consider.

My 175gr bullet has a crimp groove which results in OAL of 1.595, so that's where I seat them. I don't know what length would engage the rifling or whether that length would cycle. Lyman cast bullet manual lists 11.1gr of 2400, and 12.7gr of H110, behind a 180gr cast. I use the RCBS cowboy die backed off enough to just size half the neck.
Really don't need lube for this but I tend to have an oily rag (olive oil) on hand so that my fingers are a just a little oily when I pick the cases up, no clean up required for such a small amount of lube.
