Re: In anticipation of November !
I've got the ammo storage boxes just about full for all my calibers. Just need a little 30-30 and 45ACP to top it all off. If Cankles the Hildabeast wins, I'm actually thinking of selling off my AR's. I figure the prices in my state will go sky high and I just might get enough for a 45-70 lever and ...

My only question has been where in the heck do these dumbazzs think lead comes from? I once told a liberal that lead occurs naturally in the environment. His head nearly exploded with incredulity. For something different, Brass Fetcher did an interesting test on some modified .32 ammo. It gave improved terminal ballistics over unmodified factory ammo.

Somewhere around 1957, I had a chrome, roll cap "Peacemaker" with faux ivory grips. Coincidentally, today I stopped at the LGS after work and looked at a stainless Ruger Vaquero in 45 with... faux ivory grips.

The aspects of the 788 have already been well covered. I can add that I've owned two, both in 308 Win. Sold one during a financial crunch and purchased the second around 2009 for $300. Mine is a real joy to shoot and I have several sub MOA hand loads for it. Mine has a 22" bbl and I think they ...

Unique is cleaner burning than it used to be. I like it better than 231 because of its bulk. 38's tend to be erratic in my carbines unless I point the muzzle up before firing a round. This places the powder back against the primer. If I don't do that, I get poor ignition, dirty brass and poor accura...

The light on a gun is something I don't think I'd want. To me it's like telling the low life where I'm at in the dark and gives him a target. For outdoors "home defense" I might choose a shotgun. For indoors, I prefer a handgun. My hallways are too narrow for a long gun, which also requires both hands. With a handgun, I have one hand free to open doors or hold a flashlight. My one and only shotgun, a Winchester 1300, held by one...

Tracing family lineage can take up all your free time. It is fun and exciting. Misspellings and typographical errors always throw you a curve. Then, older records get REAL sketchy.
