i was trained using the old 'frog' slings of the M1 Garand
i also like the side mounted slings like the M1 Carbine.
when done properly it aids in unsupported shooting a great deal (at least it helps me... )

my 870 rem pump shooting slugs...
i trained with the M1 Garand...hundreds of rounds in very short periods of time...my cheek got sore from cheek weld on the stock. but the recoil was manageable...

Pcp air guns are charged two ways. You can have them charged from a scuba tank or you can use a high pressure hand pump. Car pumps do not generate enough pressure to be used by air guns. i use a nylon brush of the correct caliber to clean the chamber and run numerous patches thru the bore to clean and use a light gun oil for the final patch the the bore.

IMHO, the use of 'solid' or FMJ on big game should be legal. i read recently, the the DOJ here in California has "ruled" solid bullets as being "armor piercing" so that may be coming into play in the very near future here in California, at least...(I'm not certain about the brand...
