Re: FFL to FFL - WRONG ?

This is the FFL dealer welfare program. There is NO law requiring the seller to ship through an FFL. Just what is the seller's FFL going to do other than box up the gun and mail it?

Ask your dealer if HE ever buys guns from a non-FFL. If so, what's the difference?

Looks like the biggest opening would be for a new shotgun. Maybe a nice Remington or Mossberg pump?

Re: Is this Lee cast bullet OK in my model 94?

I'll just load up with one in the chamber, one in the magazine tube. I got the mold to make up plinkers for my .308 and .300 Savage, but figured I could make up a few .30/30 loads whilst I was at it.

Re: Question for those who have been to the big Tulsa show

I've been to their last 3 shows and have found the prices to be more reasonable than what can be found in Minnesota, especially for guns in good, solid condition that you would USE versus collect.

I'm planning on going again this November!

Is this Lee cast bullet OK in my model 94?

I've got a Lee mold for a 160 grain .309 bullet. I'd like to use some of these in my model 94, but thought I'd check to see if the nose on this slug is round enough to prevent a chain fire in the magazine tube. The mold code is C309-160-R Here's a link to the page on the Lee website that shows the m...

Winchester 94 stock a bit loose

The stock on the Winchester 94 I recently purchased has a tiny bit of front and back play in it. It's solid side to side, but when I picked up the rifle by the buttstock with the muzzle pointed down I could feel the stock slip just a fraction. If it makes any difference the rifle was made in 1979. S...

Considering a 1979 vintage model 94

I've got a chance to pick up a clean model 94 in 30.30 for about $325.

Proofhouse.com says the gun was made in 1979. How was Winchester's quality at that time? Anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks!

I think it's message was less anti-business, and more a cautionary tale about the dangers of overindulgence. And if you think we're not an overindulgent people, go hang out at the mall sometime!

Sako Finnwolf. Great rifles, extremely high quality. Scarce in .243. In 98%+ condition I'd expect it to run from $1200 to $1500; maybe more.

What did they want for it?

Almost as rare as the rifle is finding a spare magazine.

Phew! Still a pain, but much better situation than having a live round stuck. Looking at Brownell's Gunsmithing Kinks, they recommend the idea you've already hit upon, putting a .410 cleaning brush on a cleaning rod, and running it into the chamber from the breach end, and then pulling it out. Of co...
