I couldn't ask for more than the 38-55 thats in the corner now. few people will ever know how the 94 Winchester was origanally made and this one in the second Year of production is certinaly an example of it.

WinM71, Do You have a roof shovel? I got one at the local hardware a few years ago.they have an aluminum blade and extension handel that extendes to 24'.You pull the snow down and it works well. We have had as much as 30" up there at one time. Jim.

I think You did the right thing to walk away. If the seller is too stupid or lazy to clean up a gun that he wants $500.00 for I wouldn't want to gamble on it. All things considered He could have met You halfway on the price.Jim.

Kentep, I have a Marlin cl 32-20 and it quickly became a favorite. several of the members here have 25-20's and I'm sure they will be along soon.

Welcome to the Fire. The Colt will do a great job on deer. In a rifle the pistol cartridges really come alive. If You reload the .45 really shines.here is a great article from Paco.

I have a Win 94 legacy in .45 colt. I don't know what the rate of twist is. I am looking for volunteers to hold targets with 325 gr @ 1500fps. you better bring your grilling gloves.

Now everybody knows this is impossible, the 30-30 simply is not enough gun for critters bigger than small game, you really need one of the new wiz-bang magnums.

I don't think you would need 20gr of 2400 to get 1100fps with a 230gr.slug. Elmers load of 18.5gr 2400 under a 255gr is My hands down favorite. Have Fun. Jim.

The biggest suprise for Me in the reloading instructions is that "FG" powder is reccomended, don't know ,but seems the loads I have seen used FFG. Jim.
