I think non safety guns are a thing of the past, unfortunately. That aside, I like it.

I've been looking at making a Marlin into one of these but have always like the carry feel of the Winchester best.

This a a fair compromise. Hope it gets good reviews, and isn't priced at $800 like a Henry.

I keep my security six loaded similarly, with 38SP rounds even though it's a 357. Better control and control means accuracy. If a 38 won't do it at 10-15feet it won't matter anyway.

You ALWAYS have to check headspace after swapping barrels. These barrels have a shoulder that seats against the receiver and there could easily be several .000's difference in the two receivers. Setting headspace can be a tricky part on barrels like this cause if there's too much, the shoulder needs...

I used to have a 357 blackhawk, many years ago. I hated how the grip shifted in my hand after firing a heavy load. I now have a Ruger stainless security six and much prefer the handle design.

I like what you did to yours, but my personal preferance is towards a Redhawk style grip

That seems pricey to me. A gut I work with just bought 80 acres for about 200K in the Wassila area.

For 180K I'd expect more than 10 acres in remote areas. having 10 acres would be nice but not at that cost, not for me.

Like ed said, give it some more time and another load. They can be very accurate. Mine likes heavier bullets. As for the bolt action 375, I'd suggest doing what Paco suggested (sort of) and take a 308 rifle and convert it to 308/375. More power than the 308 or 375 Win with a lot more bullets availab...

I have one and they are real hammers. This is a unique caliber and way under rated.

This baby will easily push a 220gr bullet to 22-2300. I've pushed a 250 to 2200.

With Hodgdons load data I easily get high 2400 sometime over 2500 BELOW max loads, with a 200gr bullet.
