Re: USAToday Second Amendment Poll - VOTE - often
That is an old poll. The correct answer is NO. The Second Amendment does NOT give individuals the right to bear arms. The Right to Bear Arms predates the Constitution. We are endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights. The Bill of Rights in the US Constitution are restrictions on government when...

Re: OT Pilot in crash was Air Force Veteran
He was an F4 pilot to be exact, that plus 28 years as a commercial pilot ALL worked together to give him the necessary skills to land it like he did. Eyewitnesses said had they not known there was a river there, it looked like he was on approach to arunway, NOT crashlanding in a river. He had full ...

Re: Confused
The pilot was a hero allright. Made 2 trips back in looking for anybody who got missed. But I'm confused. What did you hear that makes you think it was his military background that helped him? He's had 19,000 hours in commercial aircraft, much, much less in military. No question he did everything c...

Re: Killed with 45-70 and Garrett's ammo
Yea, I would like to know more also. Was that the 540 gr hammerhead? Where were the buff taken? Tell us more about the shots. What distance? Were they one shot kills? I presume you got complete penetration? There are 2 different rifles in the pics.

Re: Wild West Gun Co-pilot pix
I have hunted with mine a time or two. I shot some 530 grain cast @ 1500 fps with it the other day. If I can swing it, I would like to make a trip for a Cape Buffalo in Zim in a couple of years provided the country hasn't completely melted down. Nice rifle by the way. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/...

Let's see ... my generation and the one before it grew up chewing on lead painted cribs and window sills, breathing lead fumes from the gasoline and eating lead shot. Those generations whipped the best armies in the world, invented the computer, the micro-wave, put men on the moon, defeated smallpo...

With the approach speeds of the A-320, if the wind was that strong , the nose of the aircraft would have been pointed 70 degrees or so to the right. I would imagine max crosswind component of that aircraft was around 55knots or so. I don't know if they teach the cross controlled landing much anymor...

Here is another take on this incident. I don't know what the situation was as to their alternate and remaining fuel on board but he should have gone around before he attempted that very unstable approach. Max demonstrated crosswind limitations are typically around 30 knots. Notice how he pretty much...

Can anybody provide or post a picture alive or dead of a confirmed melanistic cougar/mountain lion (Felis concolor)? Ever? In the last 300 years? I am not talking about a grainy video. What good is a firearm you have stashed away underground? Your great-grandchildren might be the ones to answer that. Even one old 32 flinter and possibles dug up fifty years from now might feed them, defend them or help end tyranny. Who knows. The Holy Bible and the Boy Scouts admonish us to be pre...
