I recently ran across a MARLIN 44 , it has a 16 1/4" barrel and is in excellent shape. I was already to spend some cash, when the clerk handed it to me is when I saw it has a ported barrel.I'm not fond of ported firearms, as they always seem to have a louder muzzle blast. I would like to replac...

All I ever buy is LEE DIES, to me they are user friendly and hassle free. I've only had one other brand die set (9mm rcbs) wich would load bullets crooked no matter what I did.
LEE ARE THE ONLY DIES FOR ME, I ONLY LOAD FOR 9 DIFFERENT CALIBERS,BUT THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THIS PAPER PUNCHER!

I was contemplating the purchase of this caliber RUGER rifle, and was wondering, those of you that had experience with it what do you think of it? My other choice is a REMINGTON classic in 7/08. This going to be used on eastern whitetails. Also what is the largest animal you've used it on?
