Planning of shooting it Sunday. The molds I have if an Accurate 40-180E, and a NOE 200g SWC. I've already found that the SWC won't feed with the bullet seated to the crimp groove. Have to do a little spearaminting with that one. Got some test loads ready in smokeless and FFFGoex.

I think you'll like it, I sure like mine. Have them on 4 76's, 2 86's, 2 94's and 1 92. I did have to use a file on some of them to get them to fit. File the sight, not the gun.

Easy, the crimp groove on both bullets is in the same place., more lead below the crimp groove on the 350, same amount on top.

I use Accurate molds for my 45/60, the 46-350DL and the 46-305C. I use these bullets in all three of my 45 rifles, 45/60, 45/70, and 45/75. My 45/60 really prefers the 350 grainers. I do not have to trim my brass shorter for these bullets.

I don't recall the year made, but the Winchester trapper I had was pre safety, but had a huge chamber. Came out looking like a bottle neck round. Hard on the brass. I don't know if they were all like that, but mine was. But it was a very accurate little thing.

Had one years ago, chamber was HUGE, brass looked a coke bottle after fired. But it was a pretty accurate lil thing.

I'm looking for a receiver mounter peep for my Browning 86, (not the bolt mounted one) I called and was told they are no longer being made. I really like the one on my rifle, had the SRC drilled and tapped for one also. Too late. If anyone has one they don't want anymore.

Be safe, not sorry. Use a different bullet. That, or set your bullet deeper with a Lee FCD.

I honestly haven't looked on store shelves for years as I'm a reloader, just don't need to look. I got 2 deer in 2 days with my Winchester Chief Crazy Horse 94 using 255g Barnes bullet over 18.0g of 2400. Worked like a charm.

Winchester 94 Chief Crazy Horse 38/55 did the job today, 30 yard shot. Here in Illinois we can use rifles now as long as it's a single shot. I made it so by putting a wooden dowel in the mag tube. The thing wrong with 45Colt in a Winchester 92 is that it never was, and shouldn't be. My opinion of course. And Modeling a JW Carbine with a 20" barrel is just a regular ol carbine with a big loop. I love JW, but if your going to model a carbine after his, do it right, like the real one.
