Food for thought here, on all my big bore rifles I get a leather Butt cover with the shotgun conversion from https://gunstockcover.com/ Even on a couple 94 rifles. These are great! Shot it last sunday, and its a shooter for sure. Needs some tweaking, as the loading gate and tube spring are grossly over sprung. I found that the NOE 200g SWC is too long to feed when crimped in the crimp grove so need to do some experimenting with that one. The Accurate 40-180E bullet is great! A...

Planning of shooting it Sunday. The molds I have if an Accurate 40-180E, and a NOE 200g SWC. I've already found that the SWC won't feed with the bullet seated to the crimp groove. Have to do a little spearaminting with that one. Got some test loads ready in smokeless and FFFGoex.

Winchester 94 Chief Crazy Horse 38/55 did the job today, 30 yard shot. Here in Illinois we can use rifles now as long as it's a single shot. I made it so by putting a wooden dowel in the mag tube.
