Considering how much they burned people with paypal transactions, I don't think former users are going to be eager to jump right back on that bandwagon. Way too many horror stories of ebay/pay pal freezing accounts/transactions for anything remotely firearm related. And now they want people to trust...

Uses the same mags and lower receiver as the 5.56.
Start with the .300 upper, swap barrels back down to 5.56 and you're good to go! :D

My old 336 came across as heavier as well; a 336ss 18.5in 30-30.
Not sure if it was the wood or the guts, but it didn't point as naturally as some levers I've had.

1. Don't over tighten screws in an aluminum receiver. I'll let ruger know. In fact, I never even got it out of the receiver straight from the box, thanks. Keltec Sub2k 9mm is only 4lbs.
And you're right, everything else in the 9mm carbine world is far too heavy for anything close to a "pack rifle".

Now playing devils advocate, I could see not wanting the full load of ammo and having to carry the deer back to the truck. Depending on the trek, you can regret every unnesisary ounce. That said, I'd rather go in with a full pipe than not, even if I never plan on hunting 14+1 deer ;)

Yeah, the super arrow physics made me chuckle/cringe every time somebody got it, and we all know it almost none of those would be the one shot kills. Medieval combat was a messy business but I guess it would make for poor TV to have a to step over a bunch of wounded.
