Surefire products are expensive but they are well warrantied and built pretty strong. They got behind the technology curve with LED's for a while but they are now catching up.

I have seen this in two fliers now from RSR Group but they indicate it is "coming soon". I am very curious about the quality and reliability of this gun. Has anyone tested/shot/handled this model and have any input to offer?

The deer I shot with my old 16" youth model Marlin 30-30 didn't know the difference. Sorry, I don't have any ballistic data but it worked fine at relatively close range.

The short tube is what I have on my D-Max. Kimwcook is quite correct, full power loads are pretty brutal. I don't shoot it much with them. They are a bit rough in my trapper too. I love shooting both. I prefer to shoot the 10/22 suppressed with a scope and the 9422 with irons. VERY different guns. I love shooting both. Just depends what you are looking for.

Here are a couple of pics. I wish the legs extended out with a little more angle. You have to position the gun one on each side and add one to each side as you go to keep the weight on each side roughly equal.

I bought a small fold up steel saw horse from Lowe's or Home Depot several years ago and bolted a 1x6 to the top. Before bolting the 1x4, I outlined and jig saw cut notches for barrels. It have served quite nicely at several shoots. I will try to take a pic of it when I get home tonight to show you....

My daughter and I have shot 3 or 4 deer in the last couple of years with the .243 shooting a Barnes Triple Shock 85 grain bullet. We have not recovered a single bullet.
