Hey Steve. Keep an eye on this. The criteria for these bunkers is pretty stringent, we had two near my town that I had to inspect annually at the BATF's request. Unless there was a grass fire near it....I'll be interested to hear the outcome of the BATF investigation. Unfortunately, it may be hard for him to get another permit for one in the city limits, if it is.

Ouch. Glad to see it wasn't worse and no one got hurt.

I was called to help with a chemical explosion a few years ago in a little town north of Wichita. I assisted as a reserve police officer and watched a nice secondary explosion. The point is the company that owned the plant that had the explosion BENT OVER BACKWARDS to help city residents. Needless to say, the city sent the company packing to a different town. I hope that doesn't happen to Mr. Widener.

Reading the entire article, Mr. Widener is Johnson City's Municipal Judge. This may have a not-so bad outcome for him.

Wow, Wideners is one of my favorite distributors.

Hope he's able to resume business without much delay. That would suck.

With the exception of liquid Nitroglycerin, nothing gets my attention more than fireworks when I was working as the Bomb Squad Commander, very unstable. I hope he has a good outcome.

I hope his Judge pull may help. There are not many left that will sell wholesale at our regular person mail order price. I hope this and all others like him survive so we can still get surplus and other discount powder and ect. Cross your fingers.and I wish them the best of luck!!!

Yes Hobie. It was not Wideners Reloading & Ammo according to Wideners.

Wideners piped up back on Sept 1 on ar15.com here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b ... 0&t=194162

I sent them an email asking if they knew anything.
Kind regards,
Tycer
