Kirk; I will add this your recipe the next time I reform for Zipper brass , thanks. Also Bullard 4075 ,I got another recipe off castboolits from a fellow that swages jacketed and does case reforming , he uses anhydrous thinned w/ mineral oil . So w/ these two and comparing them to the Dillon (which ...

Re: Reloading Question --Sizing Lubricant
In resizing down 30-30 brass to 219 Zipper it not only changes neck diameter but has to taper the body a lot more . I ran comparisons 3 different times because of the pressure that was needed on RCBS Rock Chucker in reforming. Hornady One Shot spray , and liquid , RCBS Case Slick , Dillon Case Lubri...

Re: An either / or lever action question?
I have two winchester trappers A E 45LC. One tang safety and the other is C B S. I'd buy Marlin even if I had to go with it being chambered 44 mag. My preference however would be 45 or 30-30 , and probably would go with 30-30 only because I ALWAYS have a vaquero with me when packin and that really i...

In trying to figure out what YOU want it seems two fold , using cheaper bullets , heavier bullets for silhouette , and possibly a third, a little more accuracy? #1 option I've never had an ejection problem w/ my 35 rem but I've always liked the rimmed cases better and I believe that it would a littl...

Joe, Seems to me Mescalaro Has the perfect solution. You might have to stain it several times to get the exact tone you want . I'm in the minority here but I have both ported and non and would NEVER cut the ported one. I have 2 Alaskan hunts planned and for repeatable shots the ported is by far THE BEST. You got something wrong if your allen wrench is twisted like a pretzel , it says that the fit is incorrect and you've tried to make up the difference by over tightening the allen screw. Nemhed's answer will work very good if you have the wrong extension. However like Ted , I have many and zero have ...

The climbing Lyman may and may not detract from the value of an original "winnie" but it seems that first and foremost the value starts with the gun and condition ,and options if any (checkering, pg , barrel length round v/s hex , src ,Lyman) are then evaluated. In the end it's you and wha...

I believe that you would be time and frustration ahead if you would leave the scope attached and get all your load work done and then try different sights. Just a way of taking out variables since you have a gun that you don't already have a load (loads ) worked up and then you're trying out new and...
