Ruger Mark pistols are a blast. I have several. The top I use for Bullseye and below is for rimfire PPC shooting. A plane that looked much like this took me on the best fishing trip of my life. We flew 3 hrs.
north of Sault St. Marie and were left for 7 days. Pops landed a 27 lb. Northern Pike.

I took the parts home and reinstalled them in the rifle. Inserting a primed empty cartridge, the primer fired off just fine. Whew! Another piece of the puzzle solved. Now all I have to do is come up with a Cartridge Extractor, and the rifle will be ready to speak again after who knows how many year...

I know what you mean as far as weight goes, but to be honest about it today's AR's are just to heavy across the boards. When the Gov't ditched the M-14's in favor of the M-16 one of the big deals was weight. Now days the difference ain't there. For the 9 pounds in an AR I can have an M-1. +1 I like...
