Not as of yet. I will give it a try and see what happens. I use the Lee dipper for most of my loads and lucked into this present load thru looking at others' data. It hits the same as my cast GC load, Skeeter bullet, with same dipper of 4227.

Take care of your dog, I have seven of them of various makes and models, they are truely "man's best friend." I lost one two years ago to liver cancer, only 7 years old, my beagle stud, Rambo. I will pray for a speedy recovery with your friend. They are better then most people I know.

I have been an NRA member since 1997. My father, whom I admire greatly was an NRA member since the 50's, he has passed and before that happened he was abit upset with a NRA reference to "jackbooted thugs." I will continue to be a member of the NRA, I have also joined Gun Owners of America....

Thanks again Gentlemen, for all your imput. I think I am going to go with my Marlin 1894c and trust to my ability on shot placement, and a good stout load, and the Grace of God to set it up. Believe me, God has done it for me before.

Great on grackles feeding on my tomatoes, or my neighbors figs. Also use them on rats on the highlines at night. Very quiet out of my "Favorite." Occassionally get stuck in the barrel, not enough push from the primer. Order them from MidwayUSA if need be. Quieter then an air rifle.

What are the pros and cons of either? Going to shoot lead and going to hunt. Put one of these on layaway today but can change my mind at anytime. To me the Winchester just looks good. I own a Marlin 1894C and love it. Any reply is appreciated.
